Highest and most expensive hotel: Burj al Arab

BURJ AL ARAB, popularly known as the” Sail”, is the most expensive and luxurious hotel in the world. There are no regular rooms. All 202 rooms are suites. All rooms are two-storey, and the smallest area – 170 square meters, while the largest – 780 sq. m. the Night in the cheapest room will cost You $ 1,500.

This is the first seven-star hotel in the world, and part of it is a symbol of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed – the ruler of Dubai realized that for tourism development to his Emirate needed a recognizable symbol. Like the Eiffel tower in Paris or the Statue of Liberty in new York. For this purpose he hired the English architect Tom Wright. The idea to build a hotel in the shape of a Sail came to him by accident.

He was sitting in a bar drinking beer. Past the Windows sailed Arab Dhow with a sail. Tom exclaimed, ” Eureka! Here is a simple and recognizable shape that even a child can draw!”

“Dubai SAIL” is also the name of this unique hotel. The shape of the building resembles the sail of the Arab boats “Dow”, the construction of which was a very laborious process: it is created from a special fabric covered with a double layer of Teflon, and occupies a Central place in the facade of the hotel. During the day, the sail emits a bright white, and at night turns into a huge screen, which is projected enlivening the night sky light show lined with double glass with Teflon coating.

It is impossible to get to Burj al Arab just like that. It stands on an artificial island and is connected to the ground by a bridge, at the beginning of which the checkpoint with the guards. There are many restaurants in Sail. If you book a table in them, the security will check with the list, and you will be admitted to the hotel.

Each of the 202 rooms offers the highest level of comfort and luxury – it is equipped with the latest technology and offers guests a great service, including a personal computer and constant Internet access. The rooms have huge Windows on the wall overlooking the sea and a view of the nearby panorama. For wealthy guests, at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level, there is a helicopter landing pad, which can also be used as a tennis court.

The HOTEL has three closed fully equipped beaches (towels, sunbeds, umbrellas-free of charge). Water sport. Guests can also enjoy three swimming pools and beaches “Jumeirah Beach Hotel”. The hotel offers a free Shuttle service to the shopping centers.
